Know Your Savings
Free Solar Bill Check
See exactly how much you could save.
What you get
- Your actual daily usage and when you use it
- A system and battery size that matches the bill, not a sales target
- Which incentives apply in your state

What information do you need from my bill?
Your power bill shows your consumption in kilowatt-hours (kWh), your tariff, and your supply address. We use the consumption figure to match your system size to your actual usage pattern. The postcode tells us your solar zone (which affects Small-scale Technology Certificate value) and your local distribution network operator. You can upload a PDF or photo of the front page; we'll delete it after analysis.
How do you calculate my solar savings?
We multiply your average daily usage (from your bill) by the average sun hours for your postcode and roof angle. That tells us how much solar energy you'd generate each day. We then subtract what you'd send to the grid (typically 20–40% of daily output) and multiply the self-consumed portion by your current per-kWh rate. The difference between that and your current bill is your annual saving. The actual saving depends on system size, panel brand, inverter efficiency, shading and your distribution network tariff.
What rebates and certificates will I qualify for?
You may qualify for Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs) under the federal Small-scale Renewable Energy Scheme. The value depends on your system size, postcode (solar zone), and the current STC price (currently $38 per STC). We'll calculate your eligible discount at point of sale. If you add a battery, the Cheaper Home Batteries Program offers a subsidy: about $252/kWh for the first 14 kWh, $151/kWh from 14–28 kWh, and $38/kWh from 28–50 kWh (2026 rates). State rebates vary; we'll advise which apply in your area. Confirm current amounts with the Clean Energy Regulator or your state energy agency, as these change on set dates.
Why do system sizes vary so much in price?
A 5 kW system costs roughly $4,000–$6,500; a 10 kW system around $7,500–$9,500. The difference is the number of panels and the inverter capacity, not the brand quality. We always use tier-one panels and matched inverters. Other cost drivers include roof type (metal or tile), pitch, number of storeys, switchboard condition, and whether your supply is single or three-phase. A site visit lets us spot hidden costs early—cracked tiles, a full switchboard, or shade from trees or chimneys.
What's included in your installation price?
Our quotes include a full site assessment and roof structural check; system design matched to your bills and roof; tier-one panels, inverter, racking and isolators; installation by SAA-accredited electricians; grid connection paperwork; and monitoring app setup and handover. We don't charge extra for switchboard upgrades or tree pruning if they're necessary for safety.
How long does the bill check and quote take?
We'll review your bill within 48 hours. If we need extra detail (such as a roof photo or switchboard check), we'll ask. A full site visit takes 30–45 minutes. Most quotes are ready within 3–5 working days of your site visit. We'll send it by email with a breakdown of system size, estimated output, annual saving, rebates, and payback period.
Do I have to buy solar if I upload my bill?
No. A bill check and quote cost nothing and come with no obligation. Many customers use our estimate to compare offers or to plan ahead. If you decide to proceed, we'll handle all accreditation checks, paperwork with your distribution network operator, and CER registration of your STCs.
What happens after I get my quote?
You can accept, negotiate or walk away. If you're ready to install, we'll book your electricians, order materials, and schedule a two- to four-day installation depending on system size. We handle all grid connection paperwork and monitoring app setup. After your system is installed, an inspector from your state regulator will certify it, and we'll register your STCs with the Clean Energy Regulator so you receive your upfront discount. Your monitoring app will show daily generation, self-consumption and grid exports in real time.
